Today, we continue showcasing a family who has been a part of DYAO for quite a long time. They are DYAO legacy. Today we feature Christina Johnson.
Christina is a graduated senior from Jefferson county. A member of YAO since 2014, Christina is a violin player and a student of James Maurer. Her plan is to attend Red Rocks Community College and Maranatha Baptist University, where she will major in biblical counseling.
When asked what DYAO meant to her, she responded: "I have thoroughly loved YAO. The ability to play with amazing musicians, learn together, and share in the opportunities of performing incredible pieces of music during my time in YAO has given me a greater love and understanding of orchestral music and working together as an ensemble. Performing in Boettcher Concert Hall with the Colorado Symphony has also been a wonderful opportunity, and I've learned so much sitting with CSO members at our annual Side-by-Side concerts. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be in YAO. It has been an incredible experience."
We wish you the best, Christina!
