This work is a stream of conscious flow of color. Removing as many natural extremities of the violin as possible so I could sand the base, reminded me of the cycle of rebirth that all things mature to. The abstract painting describes the flow of emotions that music creates and youth, which is the essence of metamorphosis. The beads are African recycled glass, red coral, seeds, fiber optic stone and Czech glass. They all were once something else and have been transformed to a new shape and purpose.
Ling is the Senior Art Director and Web Manager for Vanguard Communications. She is responsible for having established the corporate and brand identity for many of Denver's prominent businesses. Ling has received numerous awards and accolades from the Art Director's Club of Denver and the International Association of Business Communicators for her accomplishments in graphic and web design. In her free-time she creates beaded jewelry and pastel drawings. Ling lives in Denver with her fiancˆ© and their three children: their two cats and dog.
