The violin I have painted represents a style I adopted from my former teacher, Quang Ho, and I dedicate the style to him. My color sense I dedicate to Mark Daily, another teacher and friend.
About the Artist: Denise Howerton is listed as Who's Who among Women Artists of the West and has received international recognition stretching as far away as Japan. Her work has been recognized in several publications including Art News and Art Space magazines. In her early years, her work was widely received in bank shows, galleries, and loft shows in Denver's LoDo district. After several years away from her art, she began painting seriously again last year. She now spends a large amount of time at her Olathe corn farm on the Western Slope of Colorado which provides Denise with enough inspiration to sustain her for years to come.
