Chamber Ensembles of the DYAO
The Chamber Ensembles of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra is a collaboration with the Colorado Symphony in which professional musicians coach DYAO musicians in rehearsal. Ensembles then perform at locations across the community, including in the Boettcher concert hall lobby prior to select symphony performances, in-school performances, and outreach performances at senior homes and schools. At the end of each semester, ensembles perform a formal concert. This collaboration extends both the repertoire and the performing opportunities available to DYAO members. These performances bring the joy of live music to underserved communities and audiences that would not ordinarily have access to it.
